The Library Marketing Show, Episode 101
In this episode, I answer a viewer question from Natasha Buran of Thousand Oaks Library. She asked, “I was curious if you’ve seen other libraries use ‘Revue’ – Twitter’s newsletter tool for writers and publishers. I thought it would be interesting to add monthly programs or resources and pin it to our profile. I haven’t seen libraries use this feature before and thought I’d ask.”
I gave my answer in the video. This is just my opinion of course!
Kudos in this episode go to the Topeka-Shawnee County Public Library. They recently opened a resource center for community members without a computer or internet access.

Angela:
Hi!
I would like to nominate the Elkhart Public Library (Indiana) for honoring local military veterans who have served from their area in various eras. Here is their wording:
Every month on the Elkhart Public Library’s Facebook page, we’ll share information about a veteran from Elkhart who served in the military.
We find these service members through Fold3, the Digital Library resource available through EPL. Fold3 houses millions of documents, photos, maps, records and more for U.S. wars going back to the American Revolution.
Be sure to stay tuned to our Facebook for the latest one. Here are the individuals we’ve highlighted so far:

I just thought this might be something you could highlight around Veteran’s Day – or anytime!
I was pitching them my zoom World War II program ideas and noticed this on their website. It’s the first library I’ve seen to do this – plus I’ve not hear of Fold3. I’ll ask at my local library about it.
I’m going to read their Facebook page to see all of the stories.

I love your weekly posts. I always learn something.
I was thinking the other day of ways libraries have helped me promote my books. I’ll send those ideas along to you, in case you’d want to use them in a post.
Happy Weekend!
